Melbourne, Australia June 1, 2025 Medinco Health is pleased to announce the launch of the CLOTBuster® In-Flight Passenger Foot Pump, the only specifically designed and developed medical device for long-haul airline passengers to mitigate the risk of deep vein thrombosis, a medical condition associated with prolonged immobility.

‘I would like to report that the really interesting thing I learned concerning the foot pump was that people wanted it … and they wanted it NOW. We had people who were travelling in the next week, or the next month, and they wanted to take all possible precautions against DVT. The thing that appealed to them was the foot pump would not be expensive and it was not intrusive. It could be tossed into the hand luggage and used as you felt like it. It would not interfere with fellow travellers. Many of them reported that they used to walk around the plane, but these days the staff ask you to sit down as you start to wander around.
I watched the report on the full length tights that the cricketers used. I find it hard to accept quotes like ‘it relieved jet lag’. That sort of statement puts the whole product at risk. Also, if anyone has ever had to purchase compression stockings they will know that they cost a lot of money. Far more than the average traveller will want to fork out.
From everything we learned, we believe that the foot pump should get onto the market as soon as possible. There is a market out there just waiting’.
